Five Signs It’s Time to Get Wireless Internet Today   by Justin Walton

Sometimes, it’s clear when it’s become time for a change. But in other circumstances, people might want to wait, biding their time until it seems absolutely ridiculous to not make a leap. This has been happening more and more with upgrading in households across the country to the helpful nature of wireless internet. With so many people running around not giving a second thought to checking email or firing off missives from cell phones, the decision to move away from the desktop-bound computer at home is still sometimes met with hesitation. But if technology users are anything like those around the country, it’s easy to spot the signs that it’s time. Here are five telltale signals that it’s definitely a good idea to switch to Wi-Fi.

#1 – When people are frustrated about computer hogging. It could be due to the fact that one spouse wants to check sports stats while the other really would like to Skype with friends or family. Or it could be two people telecommuting and trying to share a schedule. Either way, it’s easier done with a router in place. This becomes even more true when households have multiple members who all have computers, and who are constantly queuing up in the hopes of finally being able to use that world wide web connection at a desktop machine.

#2 – When there are teenagers present in a household. No one ever should want to fight with teenagers about being able to have time online. If there are laptops in a household but no way of using wireless internet to get online all at the same time, then there is certain to be endless amounts of pouting. And that’s really no fun.

#3 – When laptops become a source of entertainment, not just work. Plenty of people in houses across the country are enjoying the fact that they can stream their Netflix from bed while dealing with the flu or be able to read their favorite news source while at the kitchen table, minus getting newsprint stains on hands. And with wireless internet, there’s no reason to stay at a desk when entertainment starts to become a mobile thing associated with a computer.

#4 – When music needs to get portable. No one wants to dig through their vinyl collections on a regular basis to pump some tunes, and with wireless internet, it’s possible to plug a laptop into speakers anywhere in a house and suddenly be enjoying streaming radio, the selection options that Spotify provides, and tons of other goodies of the aural variety.

#5 – When being at a desk just won’t do anymore. This is an easy one to detect; if the thought of actually having to come home from a desk and then plop back down again fills one with dread, then it’s time to change up how things are done. And the great thing about wireless internet is that finishing up those few little tasks no longer feels like an utterly difficult, tedious experience. It’s something that can be done quickly, and something that definitely helps out.
