The world of house music is trembling in its boots, since the queen of self-publicity – the one and only Paris Hilton – has announced that she’s interested in doing an entry into this sort of music. It will without doubt leave followers of the genre diving for cover, since they dread a surge of corny beats as well as inane lyrics will soon be pouring out of their most-loved dance music broadcast station – something that would not be really healthy for the image of the trendy and well-loved musical culture.

Miss Hilton made this headline as part of an interview with a top online news company, where she explained that she wants to make what she referred to as a “club” album. She even went as far as to disclose that she has now started work on the album under consideration and that she’s extremely pleased with exactly how it’s starting. This pride apparently originates from the truth that she feels her change of direction far from pop music and towards the house scene is a thing that she’s far more suited to.

Paris even went so far as to say that she wants to work in collaboration with David Guetta, who’s one of the biggest names in the house music scene and somebody who maintains plenty of influence over this genre across the world. Whether or not this would increase her status or diminish his though remains to be seen. In any event, this relationship – however unlikely it is to happen – would probably go down quite badly with lots of dance music enthusiasts from the UK to Australia.

If Paris Hilton’s earlier forays in to the music business are almost anything to go by, her most recent release might be over before it starts. Her prior releases have been apparently unanimously labelled as flops as well as panned in general by experts and music lovers alike. It might just be possible though, by way of a small miracle occurring, that this extraordinary blonde socialite proves everyone wrong and finally discovers a niche that she’s really gifted in.
